Hi, I’m Dani! A 20-something living in Chicago, working in finance and aspiring to see as much of the world as possible. I graduated with a masters degree in accounting, passed the CPA exam and began my career in finance, but take any opportunity I can to plan a trip.
My love for travel began when I had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona my junior year of college. This was the first time I had ever lived more than 2 hours away from home and I fell in love with travel. I spent that semester traveling across Europe with my friends and, of course, falling in love with Barcelona.

I decided to create Dani Elise in the midst of the pandemic while I was stuck at home as a new college graduate, longing to see the world. I knew I wanted an outlet to share my travel research, tips, and experiences, and thus, the blog was born.
